Matthew HarrisonMatthew Harrison launched Pulse Acoustic Consultancy Pty Ltd. in Australia in August 2016.

Matthew is an acoustical consultant with more than 25 years’ experience and is an active member of the acoustic community. Matthew is a current Federal AAS Committee member and past Chairman of the NSW Division of the AAS, and sat on the organizing committee of Acoustics 2015 and the International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV14) in 2007, prior to leaving Sydney to work in Europe.

He has expert knowledge and experience in acoustics in such areas as environmental noise, expert witness appearances, low vibration design, building acoustics and transportation noise.

Matthew Harrison joined SLR as the Technical Discipline Manager for the acoustic and vibration group in 2011.  He was previously the ANZ Practise Lead in Acoustics for AECOM, having also worked for them in UK.  Prior to leaving for the UK, Matthew had worked in the noise and vibration field in Sydney for the previous 15 years.

His fields of competence include environmental noise and vibration assessment, architectural and building acoustics and occupational noise exposure investigations. Matthew has been engaged as an expert witness in numerous court cases.  He also lectures part-time in Acoustics in the faculty of Built Environment to architectural students at the UNSW. Matthew has also written and presented numerous papers on Acoustic topics include at acoustic conferences including Acoustics 2015 and the Euronoise Conference in Edinburgh in 2009.
